BIO:
Raquel is an Associate Professor of Exceptional Education at Buffalo State College, where she currently serves as department chairperson. She has taught courses in behavior management, foundations of special education, and successful collaboration & coteaching skills/collaboration strategies. She first joined the Buffalo State community in 1991 as an undergraduate transfer student, and started teaching as an adjunct instructor for the Exceptional Education department in 1996. Raquel’s research interests include meditation, mindfulness, and cultural diversity in education. She loves to travel, and has been to over 50 countries (& counting). She is very passionate about Buffalo State College and furthering its mission to nurture lifelong learners and a global education community. IO:
