BIO:
M. Scott Goodman, Ph. D., is a Professor of Chemistry and Director of Undergraduate Research at Buffalo State. He teaches courses in Organic, Forensic, and Biological Chemistry. During his 25 years at Buffalo State, he has also served as Chemistry Department Chair for 14 years and as the Interim Dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences for 2 years. Scott is the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.
Dr. Goodman is the Chair of the College Senate Budget and Staff Allocations Committee (BSAC) for 2021-22. He is also a member of the University Faculty Senate (UFS) Graduate and Research Committee. Scott’s prior shared governance experience includes serving as a College Senator for 11 years, during which he served as Vice Chair of the Senate for one year, Chair of BSAC for three years, and Chair of the Instruction & Research Committee for 2 years. Scott also completed two, 3-year terms as a UFS Senator representing Buffalo State and later put in 2 years as the Chair of the UFS Graduate and Research Committee.
