RESPONSES TO RECOMMENDATIONS: 2021-2022

June 30, 2022-At its April 8, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy I: 11:00 Degree Audit System (Degree Works), brought forth from the Standard for Students Committee (S4S).  Response to the College Senate recommendation may also be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive (login required).

June 30, 2022-At its May 13, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS I:17:00:  Academic Probation Dismissal from College brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S).  Response to the College Senate recommendation may also be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive (login required).

June 30, 2022-At its May 13, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy VI: 11:00 Graduate Faculty brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S). February 24, 2022- At its February 11, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy VIII: 1:00 -Student Code of Conduct (previously named Judicial System); brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S). February 24, 2022- At its February 11, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy VIII: 2:00 -Code of Rights, Freedoms, and Responsibilites; brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S). February 24, 2022- At its February 11, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the removal of DOPS Policy VIII: 2:01-Code of Student Rights; brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S).  Response to the College Senate recommendation may be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive (login required).

February 24, 2022- At its February 11, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy VIII: 3:00-Student Conduct and the Civil Process; brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S).  Response to the College Senate recommendation may also be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive (login required).

February 24, 2022- At its Februray 11, 2022, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the revision to DOPS Policy VIII: 6:00-Disruptive Students; brought forth from the Standards for Students Committee (S4S). December 20, 2021- At its December 10, 2021, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on revision to DOPS Policy IV:01:01-Change in Status of Academic Programs: Merger, Deactivation, and Discontinuation (Formerly Academic Program Elimination) brought forth from the College Senate Curriculum Committee (CSCC). This resolution was originally approved by the Senate on May 14, 2021, and the President requested further changes, which were completed to this current resolution and response from the President.

December 20, 2021- At its December 10, 2021, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution for the new DOPS Policy on Online, Hybrid Course Offering, brought forth from the Instruction & Research Committee (INR). December 20, 2021- At  its December 10, 2021, meeting, the College Senate voted to adopt an approved UFS resolution-189-0-1-In Support of AAUP Joint Statement, brought forth from the University Faculty Senators, Kimberly Kline, and Amy Rosen-Brand. November 24, 2021-At its March 21, 2021, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of a resolution on the DOPS Policy for Senate Seats School of Arts and Sciences, Policy Number: III C(5).
I accept the Senate bylaws changes recommended at the March 12, 2021, meeting with an expectation that the Senate will submit an amendment as detailed in the bylaws charge shared by Senate leadership.  Response to College Senate Recommendation: Senate Seats School of Arts and Sciences can also be viewed via College Senate Sharepoint drive (login required).

October 19, 2021-At the October 8, 2021 meeting of the College Senate, the Senate approved of the recommendation from the College Senate Curriculum Committee (CSCC) as recommended from Provost Mayrose for: Deactivation of: Museum Studies Advanced Certificate, Program Code: 26568, and Deactivation of: Museum Studies MA, Program Code: 34698, these have now been approved by President Conway-Turner, response can also be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive. September 27, 2021-Revised Academic Misconduct Policy statment, as per President Conway-Turner.
The revised DOPS VIII: 04:00-Academic Misconduct Policy can also also be viewed via the College Senate Sharepoint drive. (login required)
This policy was originally approved by the Senate on April 9, 2021 and by the President on June 14, 2021.  The policy originally was brought forth from the Instruction and Research Committee (INR).

At its May 14, 2021, meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of the revision to the DOPS Policy  IV: 01:01 Change in status of Academic Programs: Merger, Deactivation, and Discontinuation (formerly Academic Program Elimination). This was brought forth from the College Senate Curriculum Committee (CSCC).  Response/Action from the President can also also be viewed on the College Senate Sharepoint drive. (login required)

At its April 9, 2021 meeting, the College Senate voted in favor of the revision to the Faculty Bylaws DOPS Article III C(5) Senate Seats School of Arts and Sciences.
